Our renowned firm is the largest provider of legal services in the Caribbean region of the Kingdom, with offices in Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Suriname, and The Hague. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Leader for our office in Curaçao.
What will you do?
As our Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you play a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy cash flow for the firm. You will join a multi-functional team focused on operational excellence and will be responsible for further streamlining invoicing and collections processes using the latest invoicing and debt automation tools. You have a systematic approach to work, can prioritize effectively, and manage resources efficiently. You are analytical, solutions-focused, and an effective coach, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
In this role, you will ensure that invoices are sent out accurately and on time, systematically send payment reminders, and promptly detect, analyze, and resolve payment irregularities or differences. You will assess and act on client settlements and refund requests, set up and monitor compliance with payment arrangements, and enhance and execute management reporting. You will identify opportunities to improve invoicing and collection processes and help implement these enhancements. Additionally, you will manage and coach team members while serving as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders regarding all aspects of billing and collections.
What we would like to see in you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ business administration or financial controlling
- You have at least three years of experience in a similar position
- You are analytical, precise, and pragmatic
- You are an advanced user of Excel
- Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamentu
