Maarten Willems

Maarten is an all-round lawyer who advises and litigates in all areas of civil law, including international banking and finance matters, commercial contracts, corporate law, employment law, insurance law and regulatory matters. Among his clients are companies within the hotel and leisure industry, the casino industry, the development and construction sector and the financial sector.

Maarten has been an attorney for over 20 years and joined HBN Law & Tax’ Aruba office in 2014. He started his career in Curaçao in 1997 as an associate at the firm presently known as Soliana, Bonapart and Aardenburg. In 2000 he moved to Aruba where he managed the firm’s Aruba office. As of 2005 Maarten was associated with Hese Attorneys, Aruba.

Maarten’s other professional activities include lecturing at several organizations.

Maarten obtained his Master’s degree at the University of Leiden in [jaar] and speaks Dutch, English, Papiamento and German.
