Stan van Liere

Stan specializes in advising stakeholders in stressed and distressed businesses focusing on solvent turnarounds or insolvent solutions across a wide range of sectors. He also acts regularly as a bankruptcy receiver in (corporate) insolvencies and is appointed as such by the Courts of First Instance in the Dutch Caribbean (Bonaire, Curaçao and St. Maarten).

Stan has recently acted as court appointed trustee of Bonaire Petroleum Corporation NV (BOPEC) and was successful in the sale of the BOPEC storage and transshipment facility to Curoil Bonaire Energy Terminal NV. In addition, he also has been appointed as trustee of Jetair Caribbean BV and United Caribbean Airlines BV.

Stan has a master’s in civil law from the University Utrecht.

His membership include the Associaton of Insolvency Law Layers (INSOLAD) and the world wide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialize in turnaround and insolvency (INSOL International).

Stan is ranked as “key member” of the HBN team by Legal500 (2026).
