May 5, 2026
On May 4, 2026, the director of the Aruba Tax Authorities, mr. Luenne Gomez-Pieters, together with the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector, mr. Geoffrey B. Wever, announced during a special press conference the expansion of services within the BO impuesto (BOi) portal, as well as the introduction of these services for individuals (excluding sole proprietorships).
What’s new?
The following services are now available online:
What you need to do
All Individuals who are not yet registered in the online portal are required to register for the portal in order to access the new services in BOi. A flyer containing detailed information, including a QR code for easy registration, will be distributed to all households in four languages and will be made available on the website of Departamento di Impuesto.
Multi-Factor Authentication
To access the BOi portal, users are required to log in using their username and password, along with a 6-digit verification code generated via an authentication app.
Authorization
If assistance is required, it is possible to authorize another person after registration for BOi to perform some or all duties in the portal, for instance, the tax advisor, trusted person or family member.
Recommendation
We strongly recommend that all individuals register as soon as possible and activate MFA to avoid any login issues. Early registration will also ensure a smooth filing process once the 2025 personal income tax return becomes available.
