The government council has decided to increase the minimum hourly wage. The minimum hourly wage in Suriname has increased from SRD 20 to SRD 38,50 per February 1st, 2023.
Based on this decision, the Ministry of Labor has announced that an employee should earn at least SRD 6,000 on a monthly basis per February 1st, 2023.
